Can Anything Hold You Back? – Making A Difference
We are called not to fit into the pattern of the world but to stand out. Why fit in when you are Born to Stand Out? Your beliefs create and dictate what your attitudes are. Your attitudes create and dictate how you respond. In other words, they dictate your feelings; and your feelings largely determine how you behave. We need to understand that knowledge and understanding are why people respond to the same issues of life differently. But when knowledge is correctly applied through understanding, one cannot but be outstanding.
Through the inspiration of God, this book teaches life principles, one of which is how life can be lived to the fullest even with obstacles on the way.
In this book, the writer shares her practical life experiences to avoid the same pitfalls she fell into in life.
Thus, when you start to read this book, you will find it hard to drop it. Therefore, grab your copy quickly!
Happy Reading!

Plato famously wrote: “Our need will be the real creator” which was moulded over time into the English proverb ‘Necessity is the mother of invention’.
This book “Can Anything Hold You Back?” was born out of the need to make a difference, to impact lives, to be a change agent in this changing world.
In Chapter eight, the author wrote that Challenges are demanding tasks that require significant effort and determination to overcome. At some point in our life, we all will go through challenges; however, during this period, our focus should not be on what has not been done, but on what can still be done to overcome and stand out in these challenging times.
Take charge of the situation no matter what you see around you. Do not be too overwhelmed with what you see. Challenges birth opportunities for success and growth See them around you and leverage on them.

The late Myles Munroe once said, ‘when the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. The author Sandra Ukoh, understanding this principle has given a comprehensive insight into some truth that she has picked up along her life’s journey. The good thing about this book is that it is not some abstract essay written just for the fun of it. Instead, Sandra shares practical life experiences that may prove to be a lifesaver for people going through that same challenge.
In chapter one, she explores that age-long question that has plagued every individual at some point in their lives- Who am I? Even the Lord Jesus Christ asked his disciples this question, and Peter’s answer was recognized as some validation for His (Christ) purpose on earth. However, we must know what God says about us. This is because if Peter had said anything contrary to what Jesus knew about himself, it would have been rejected. We can only know what God says when we study His word and apply them to our lives. Furthermore, she pointed out that an individual’s identity is born out of their habits and beliefs; therefore, it is important to be mindful of what we see, hear, and speak and ensure that our negative life experiences do not adversely affect our behaviours.
Thus, it is key to know our value as this can give a certain kind of confidence. She reiterated that the value of a human is not in their material possessions but in themselves. To discover our gifts, start from the place of prayer. The creator of life has placed certain gifts in his creations, and just like you read a manual to know how to operate a gadget, we must go back to ask our owner to understand how we will or should operate. Also, it is always best to speak about life no matter what the present circumstance is. Therefore, in summary, she concludes that the essence of life is to understand your purpose and accomplish your goals.
In the same vein, executing your purpose means that you must have a vision, a blueprint of where you are heading. However, your vision must be cast with the consciousness of time as a minute wasted could affect any planning. As it is with life, there are bound to be challenges along the way. Therefore, we must maintain a positive mindset and see it as a challenge rather than an insurmountable obstacle. The author highlights five steps to turning adversity into opportunities that are as simple as they are profound.
Interestingly, she pointed out that leadership is as much about service as it is about guidance. Leadership gives a sense of responsibility that helps in fulfilling purpose. When you realize that you do not live for yourself alone, it motivates you to keep pushing. However, the end goal of leadership is to reproduce yourself in others. Furthermore, relationships are a vital part of human existence, and the people you associate with could either make or mar you. In addition, having an attitude of gratitude will always open doors for you with God and man.
This book has done well in highlighting core aspects in life that must be paid attention to. It is a good book for anyone who seeks to grow beyond where they are. Finally, the entire fabric of the book is centred on the thread of having a personal relationship with God; only then can you make a difference in your sphere of influence.

It was Jane Goodall, an English primatologist and anthropologist, that says, “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
Sandra N.B. Ukoh could be said to believe in Goodall’s philosophy. This probably informed her decision to write the book “Can Anything Hold You Back? Making A Difference” through the inspiration of God, teaching principles on how one can live to the fullest even with obstacles on the way and making a difference.
She shares her practical life experiences, the thoughts of men of wisdom, illustrations and the Word of God to drive home her points so that readers can always leverage the expertise of others to fulfil their respective destinies.
Sandra, in the medium-volume book, divided into twelve chapters, admits that challenges are an integral part of life. Accordingly, she calculatedly takes the readers through personality and self-value discovery and personal development protocols. Yet, in clear terms, she apprises how they can withstand and overcome the possible and critical obstacles in their way to fulfiling their God-planned destinies and make a significant positive difference on the Earth.
“Can Anything Hold You Back? Making a Difference” is a manual and a companion for whoever is determined to fulfil his destiny and make positive differences on Earth, thereby living after leaving this world for eternity!

In the book, “Can Anything Hold You Back? Making a Difference,” the author proffers the various requirements for changing your world. If change is required, then it must start with you. This process of making a difference in an imperfect world begins from knowing who you are and your purpose on the Earth.
The simplicity of the writer particularly enthrals me. It makes for straightforward reading and understanding by the youth that it is majorly meant for.
The world is crying for change, and the book is a solution to this yearning and craving. With this book in your hand, you are definitely on the journey to making a difference in your generation! The world cannot wait!

Sometimes you need to feel the pain of defeat to activate the real passion and purpose God predestined you for. This message was one of the points I had to stop and ponder on. Those are propellers that show up as setbacks Or in the form of setbacks.
